GIF is an acronym for Graphics Interchange Format. It denotes a file format that supports both static and animated images. GIFs are really quick and devoid of sound. You don’t even need a play button for it as it keeps looping around. Thus, in other words, it allows presenting a short video clip in a far more reduced image format, and without sound.

The GIfs are really fascinating as they easily catch the eye of a person. On one hand, it is the best way to say something in a better way without typing something. The entertainment value of GIFs is amazing. The possibilities for GIFs are limited only by one’s own imagination.

How To Download/Save Gifs for Twitter?

There is some potential loss in downloading a GIF because when you right click on the GIF, you don’t see an option to save the image. This is because when somebody uploads a GIF on twitter.com, it’s automatically converted to small video files and Twitter, while still calling it a GIF, technically is displaying a video file. That’s why you can’t simply right-click a GIF posted on Twitter and click “Save image…”, as you normally do on most other sites.

There are few applications that solve the issue of downloading a GIF from twitter.com.
